Writing concise responses on forums?
I always have problems with this. If someone ask a question I often doubt myself that I can write a good response, because I see that other members have written like… a 200 word+ response. I then consider the question very daunting to answer. How can I become like them and write a good concise answer to a forum question? How does one make a 200 word answer to such a simple question such as “why does my dog bark all the time and how do I stop it?” Any tips on writing big and concise responses?
Honestly, sometimes those massive replys are not always the best. The information contained in them tends to be quite redundant or tends to wander away from the question itself; furthermore, sometimes people don’t even bother reading them because they’re turned off automatically by the length.
So don’t get it in your head that these answers are any better than brief precise answers that can likely be provided in half the number of words. The skill is in the quality, not the quantity, of words you use in your reply.
