what is the perfect breed of dog for me?

i am moving to a big townhouse with lots of room to play and i am allowed to get a dog.(rescue or prue breed.)i would like a dog with a moderate level of energy and has alot of affection.i dont want a fierce or protective watchdog,but more of a less fierce and gentle dog.i have a yougher sister(8 years old.)but this will be my dog and i will decide all the dicisions.i also live in florida so hot weather and beaches are on my families activities list.so a dog that loves water would be great!i preferre a dog that i could do things with-like run alongside my bike,swim at a dog beach,play with other dogs,and also a dog that could sleep with me.i would like a dog in the range of 20-80 lbs.please help me pick my perfect pooch!

border collie. they have the energy to do all of the activities and they love water, would love to play ball and frisbee on the beach!. are easy to train and get along with kids and other dogs
